There were six teams of players who rotated through the events with the direction of event organisers and the assistance of their support teams.
We were then treated to a beautiful lunch prepared by the hospitality team at Karinya and everyone chatted about the mornings events and caught up with gossip from local residents who were friends from the past.
Chairman off the Board of Management for Narrogin Cottage Home, Mr Maxwell announced the winning team (Waratah Lodge) and presented medals to all team players.
Our residents enjoyed the day immensely, which included the bus trip which captured the spirit and hours of preparation involved. A big thankyou to Jane Neil-Smith for the spectacular artwork and skill involved in screen printing our team shirts, which we are sure contributed to our success and certainly made us all look ‘pretty cool’.
Thank you to Karinya for a fabulous day and we hope to extend an offer to host a similar event in the New Year.
Team Waratah, a great job!
