They left the farm and went over to Mary’s Cottages to settle into their accommodation and get ready for a fun BBQ and Fire Pit evening.
Saturday morning it was up and into Kukerin to fuel up in preparation to do some good country miles. First stop was the Pingrup Painted Silos and the Store Café for morning tea. Next was off to Newdegate for more Painted Silos and a picnic lunch in the Pioneer Park. Thanks to the Newdegate IGA. After lunch it was a leisurely cruise back to Mary’s Cottages for a mini rest. Late afternoon it was all aboard the School buses to take us out to Walkers Winery for dinner where we all enjoyed a beautiful meal and a “Story Telling Session” some true and some not so true?
Sunday morning it was pack up and off to Dumbleyung to check out The Bluebird and CWA ladies. From there it was off to Katanning to the Dome for morning tea and a tour over the old Premier Flour Mill. Next was the Wagin Historical Village Café for lunch and a wander around all the old buildings etc.
The Buick Members, hot and exhausted, left Wagin and headed back to Perth having travelled over a 1000kms in their cars and having a new appreciation of the region in which we live.
All in all it was a memorable weekend for the club members.
