On Monday June 6, we observe WA Day Public Holiday. The public holiday is not only an opportunity to enjoy a day off work, or get away for an extra long weekend, but it asks us to reflect and celebrate how great it is to live in WA.
It's a special day to celebrate everything within our diverse communities, vibrant cultures, amazing natural environments and our achievements as a state. We should, and are, proud West Australians! Monday June 6 aims to unite communities and celebrate!
WA Day maintains a symbolic link to the former Foundation Day, which marked the first settlers from Britain settling the Swan River Colony.
