The level 3 girls and level 2 boys competed early on the Sunday morning. Tamika Cross excelled achieving overall Silver, and Camille Smith achieving Bronze. The boys did extremely well, Miells Astbury achieving Silver and overall top marks in the level 2 boys and Kael Astbury, Oliver Filmer, Gavin Whitehous and Simon Whitehous all achieving Bronze.
These are fantastic results, even more so when you consider that these athletes were competing against the best in the State, including Perth Clubs who train all year round whereas we train for only two terms a year.
This wraps it up for Dumbleyung Gymnastics Club’s 2019 season. Congratulations to all our athletes who have participated in general gym, regional competition and state competition. Thank you to our parents and devoted volunteers for all the time you have put in. Thank you to our dedicated coaches who have worked tirelessly all season. Sadly we are saying goodbye to Paul and Amanda Nenke who have been stalwarts of the Club for over 10 years. We wish them all the very best in the next chapter of their lives.
The Club AGM will be held on Tuesday 29th October 7pm at the Kukerin Hotel. All are welcome to attend.
