Following a few technical issues on an earlier broadcast attempt, Triple M decided to head back to Dumbleyung to get some local information and persuade a few brave locals to speak live on radio!
Participants included Shire President Jacki Ball and business owners Catherine Watkins from Emu Essence, Grant Riley form Wuddi Cultural Tours and Paul Nenke from Cambinata Yabbies. Amy Knight highlighted Taste of Dumbleyung on behalf of the Dumbleyung Events Committee whilst Claudia Hadlow spoke about Landcare. Chris Bairstow explained her upcoming participation in the Mystery Box Rally, Boots and Butterflies (BABS) while Peter Bedford spoke about The GODI.
Davina Gossage and Paige Morris answered questions on behalf of the Dumbleyung Community Resource Centre. Making her debut on radio, Paige found that Cliff was interested in the upcoming Kukerin Creek Bed and Burnout Competition, despite him claiming initially that he didn’t know what either were. Having grown up in the country, he obviously does!
The general consensus was that it was a great night and what a wonderful and diverse place the Shire of Dumbleyung is! Thank you to Peter Bedford and Nev Power from The GODI for organising this event.
