Charlotte’s junior hockey years began playing for Kukerin before moving to Albany in 2015 where she currently plays in the Lower Great Southern Hockey Association (L.G.S.H.A) for the Manypeaks team.
Charlotte was a member of the L.G.S.H.A Country Week A-Division side which won their grand final in Perth at the recent Country Week Championships. As a result of some very good form displayed on the field, Charlotte was then selected for the WA State Women’s Country Side with fellow Kukerin local, Kelsie Adams. Both ladies travelled and represented WA in Shepparton, Victoria earlier this month, from August 1 -12th.
Predominantly a back line player Charlotte was given plenty of work on the WA team, and whilst in Shepparton they went on to finish the competition with a win and two draws. However, it was Charlotte’s playing ability that caught the eye of national selectors, resulting in Charlotte making her debut for the National Country Under 21 team.
We wish Charlotte all the best with the upcoming competition in Borneo and all future hockey endeavours.
