The Junior Room is currently learning about Donald Campbell and the Bluebird story in school and after some discussions with teacher Mrs Bartram, an excursion was organised to visit. CRC Coordinator, come ‘CRC Teacher Ally’ for the afternoon, shared with students how, when and where Donald Campbell visited and broke a water speed record. Lots of questions were asked before the group were able to walk around and see the replica up close.
Students then looked through the Bluebird Interpretive Centre, spotting Mr Whoppit, Donald Campbell’s record certificate and lots of replica models. An activity pack was created for students which they completed in the large conference room whilst enjoying delicious milkshakes courtesy of Along Came Henry Café.
A huge thank you to the Dumbleyung Primary School Junior Room and staff for coming to visit the Bluebird Interpretive Centre and CRC. It was awesome to have you all look through the centre and ask lots of great questions. Further thanks to Along Came Henry Café for the complimentary and delicious milkshakes.
