After a mighty morning of lightning, thunder and rain, we were blessed with a change in weather, and the sun emerged, providing a perfect spring afternoon. Community members from across the Shire arrived at their own leisurely pace after a very busy weekend in Dumbleyung, to enjoy icy cold drinks and delicious wood fired Charlie’s Pizza. Children were entertained with many devouring their fairy floss then bouncing off the added energy on the bouncy castle. Mary, the face painting extraordinaire worked her magic, as children morphed into unicorns, dragons and tractors (just ask Rick at the Roadhouse!).
Many completed the CRC postcard campaign – an initiative across the CRC network to share with the main players in decision making, the importance of the CRC to them! The forward budgets reflect a decrease of $5million across the CRC Network (that’s 50 CRC’s!) as of 2019. To eensure future funding we’ve asked for your help, and we thank everyone who completed a postcard at our birthday party!
Haven’t completed a postcard? No worries - pop into the CRC and see Ally, Davina or Paige for more information.
A huge thanks to everyone who attended our birthday party and/or have utilised our services in one way or another over the past two years. We look forward to creating many more events, workshops and community initiative’s for you!
