Right now, there are 1.4million Australians living with a heart disease, and each year more than 55,000 Australians suffer a heart attack – shocking statistics in this day and age!
The Heart Foundation is dedicated to making a real difference in the heart health of Australians by
- Funding world class cardiovascular research
- Guiding health professionals on preventing and treating heart disease
- Educating Australians about making healthy choices
- Supporting people living with heart conditions
- Advocating to government and industry to improve heart health
MAYyouDARE is a fun community initiative with three community members participating – Peter Joyce, Chloe McDougall and Howie Ward. What’s the dare you ask? To complete a ‘Bush Tucker Challenge’ made possibly with assistance from local business Wuddi Cultural Tours.
Money donated to each person will be divided 50/50 and shared between their chosen charity and the Dumbleyung CRC (to help the CRC be more sustainable, given the proposed funding cuts to be implemented mid next year).
Want to see Peter enjoy a witchetty grub or emu pate? Then donate to Peter and the Heart Foundation!
You can donate as little or as much as you like via these three methods:
CASH – Pop into the CRC or the Kukerin General Store and place your donation into the chosen person’s donation box.
EFT – Call the CRC on 9863 4829 and donate over the phone via credit card. We’ll keep a record at time of phone call of who you are donating to. Please note a 2% surcharge applies.
DIRECT DEBIT – Donate online with the following details, BSB 302 162 and Account Number 083 0520. Please reference the name of the person you would like to donate to.
Also a part of MAYyouDARE 2018 is Howie Ward (chosen charity is Ronald McDonald House) and Chloe McDougall (chosen charity is RFDS).
