Filming commenced in Yarloop in early August, with the third block of filming currently in progress at the Watpow Downs property in Kukerin. Over 100 cast and crew are bring the story to life, with approximately 40 in Kukerin to film the opening and major fighting scenes.
Cast and crew became nocturnal due to night time, dusk and dawn scenes being filmed. Braving an icy cold morning, Joy and Emily after immersing, themselves in the wardrobe, emerged as two Western Action men, with Pedro and Tonto once settled, making their debut on set. The remaining cast and crew fell silent and, ‘Action’ was called.
Decadent and Depraved is a Western Action that follows the journey of Murphy (played by former ‘McLeod’s Daughters’ star Ben Mortley), a convicted murderer with a bounty on his head. Murphy has surrounded himself to His Majesty’s Army to ensure the safety of his family and is transported by Captain Jack Dalton (played by ‘Country Practice’ star, Michael Muntz) to be hung for his crime. Murphy and Dalton must survive the harsh terrain of the West Australian outback whilst fending off attacks from corrupt and powerful men who want to claim the bounty.
To keep up to date with all the filming visit the film’s Facebook page ‘The Decadent and Depraved’ or pop into the Kukerin Hotel on Saturday October 1 the second last day of filming to meet some of the cast and crew.
