The prestigious award is presented to a community member who is committed to improving the community, continuously assisting in strengthening our community and making it a vibrant and positive place to live. Jeanie supports numerous community groups fundraising endeavours, is a wealth of experience and knowledge sharing this with others to help enhance our community activities and has personally been involved with Garden Club, Bowls Club and Men’s Shed - just to name a few.
Shire of Dumbleyung Deputy President, Julie Ramm welcomed everyone to the breakfast, re-capped the year that was 2018 for the Shire of Dumbleyung (including the installation of the Kukerin Bouncing Pillow and the PATS car project in Dumbleyung – plus many more!) before announcing the two nominees Jeanie Hudson and Suzanne Cronin and overall winner Jeanie Hudson.
Over 50 people attended the breakfast, enjoying a delicious bacon and egg breakfast provided by the Shire of Dumbleyung and cooked perfectly by the Shire Councillors. Thank you to all who attended the event and to the Shire of Dumbleyung for organising another great Australia Day Breakfast.
