Saturday afternoon saw plenty of eager beavers hit the burnout pad for some free time before the coveted ‘Smoke for Dough’ where 40+ competitors competed for a $1000 cash prize. This was followed by the AFL Prelim and the Band which grooved late into Saturday evening. A bit of late night rubber burning on the burnout pad saw a rush of spectators back to the enclosure to see what all the noise and flames were about.
Sunday was underway and again no weather was deterring the diehard competitors who had travelled from an afar to compete. With plenty of cash prizes up for grabs, Sunday afternoon crowned our 2017 Burnout V8 & 6 Cylinder winners along with our 2 & 4 wheel drive Creekbed champions!
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all volunteers, Ambulance officers and local Police who gave their time, not only for this weekend, but also preceding the event, and provide locals, returning veterans and all new faces, a memorable event every year. With our strong following, this event is an eagerly anticipated annual weekend, so thanks to everyone. We look forward to seeing you in Kukerin again next year.
