
If you wish to view a great number of and species of water birds, a visit to the small lake located north of the golf course will not disappoint. A couple of locals had a quick guesstimate of the numbers and noted the species on Saturday and this is what you are likely to see - 12 Musk, 12 Blue Billed, about 100 Black, 2 Pink Eared and about 200 Shelduck as well as close to two hundred Swans. Also sighted were 9 Yellow Spoonbills, over 500 Grey Teal, uncountable number of Australasian Grebe and 30-35 Australian Shoveller.
The water is estimated to be approximately 2m deep, and minnows were recorded scrolling the shoreline.
