Look out for these fellows – Racehorse Goanna’s! (pictured right)
Please be aware as the days are getting warmer, these racehorse goanna’s will be on the move.
More than likely you will see them while driving.
Without putting yourself in a dangerous situation on the road, this is a shout out to everyone to please avoid driving over them, but only if it can be done in a safe manner.
Lizards and also snakes that you may encounter on your road travels are living in their natural environment and as long as they are a safe distance away from sheds and houses it is pointless to line them up and destroy their lives.
Did you know the Carpet snake is not dangerous and numbers are on the decline!
