Name: David Barnes Occupation: Various including farm labourer How long have you lived in Kukerin/Dumbleyung? 11 years What interests you and why? I love travelling and enjoy new experiences and cultures. I’m interested in how people integrate life and style. I like remote places, permaculture, recycling, upcycling, earthy artistic and creative experiences and things like that; back to basics like becoming part of village life where things are plain and simple. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be? Have travelled quite extensively including Himalayan foothills and the Greek Islands but would love to go to Portugal. Ocean, river, lake or mountain? Have to see all of them as I am a gypsy from a past life – the picture has to be perfect! What is the last book you read? Autobiography of a Yogi If you had to choose would you prefer to eat 4 chillies or raw octopus? Neither! Would much prefer a European Caesar Salad! Although if I really had to choose it would be mild chillies! Thank you Dave (pictured left) for being this week’s local of the week! If you would like to nominate someone to be local of the week in 2018 send the CRC an email, admin@dumbleyungcrc.com. |
