Regional Men’s Health is an initiative instigated by Julian Krieg and supported locally by many, including Ross Ditchburn who is an advocate for this important programme.
You may well be aware of the bright red ute, Talk to a Mate and Pit Stop which are all a part of RMH. The group behind this are passionate about the wellbeing of men in rural, regional and remote communities in WA and focus on raising the awareness of men’s health.
There is a focus to encourage men to have some honest conversations and discuss their issues, along with discovering the go-to people in their lives, whether that be a peer, mentor or partner.
The foundation of all the Regional Men’s Health Initiative is “before I all gets too much… Talk to a Mate!!”
Support MAYyouDARE, Bob, and this important initiative which is so very relevant in our community.
MAYyouDARE is a community challenge and fundraiser in which the community can donate to one or all three community members participating in the challenge. The person who receives the greatest donations during the month of May then must complete a dare. The dare for 2019 is to lip-sync/karaoke to a song chosen by the CRC in an outfit chosen by the CRC. Donations to each person will be shared 50% to the charity and 50% to the CRC – helping to keep our doors open and to assist in hosting workshops and events for the community.
You can donate to Shane and his cause at the CRC, Kukerin General Store and the Dumbleyung District Club. Or online (see details below).
