Possibly one of Western Australia’s biggest Independent feature films, the action packed western film has recently won five awards at the 2018 Los Angeles Film Awards including Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Cinematography, Best Western and Best Indie Film. Director, 21 year old Jordan Prince-Wright also received an Honourable mention within the Best Director category. The film has also received three awards at the 2018 Melbourne City Independent Film Awards.
Filmed in a number of regional towns across Western Australia the cast and crew have recently held premieres in a few of the film’s locations including Yalgoo, Sandstone and Cue. The successful screenings and recent international awards have resulted with a second regional tour and screenings are now planned for Albany, Busselton, Geraldton and Kalgoorlie.
Much of the 1870’s western action film was filmed in the Goldfields, Kukerin and in particular at local farm, Watpow Downs which featured in the opening scenes and major fighting scenes. Locals come stunt doubles, Joy and Emily Gray and their horses Pedro and Tonto also featured in the film.
