Application and processing fees for a new restricted chemical products permit is $77 and amendment to a current existing permit is $38.50 (both GST inclusive). A permit is specific to each property. Therefore, fees apply for each property.
Landholders can apply for permits for up to five years; however the duration of the permit granted to the landholder may vary depending on risk factors such as frequency of land use changes, potential subdivision in the region and others.
A risk assessment will be undertaken and will only be approved by the biosecurity officer if DAFWA is satisfied that the risks are mitigated to an acceptable standard. Applicants may be required to provide further information to demonstrate that the risk of using these restricted chemical products is mitigated to an acceptable level.
Amendments to permits apply to changes to nominated retailer, receiver, layer, product quantity or interval and baiting dates. If there is a change of applicant, target species, and/or significant changes to product types and quantities, or extension to the permit duration, a new permit application will be required.
Applications are to be submitted to:
E-mail: ISPermit@agric.wa.gov.au
Fax: (08) 9368 2958
Post: RCP Applications, Invasive Species, Sort Bin 18, Locked Bag 4, Bentley Delivery Centre WA 6983
An invoice will then be raised accordingly with regards to the number of properties being assessed for the permit/s. Once payment has been received, processing of the permit application will proceed.
Landholders are encouraged to lodge their permit application well advance of the date they are planning to bait as processing the permit can take up to 10 working days from the date payment is received.
