If you’re interested in metal and wood work or not and need a reason to get out of the house, why not visit the Dumbleyung Men’s Shed. You can be an active or non-active member and nothing is compulsory. It’s an opportunity to meet like minded people and try your hand at metal or wood work, or maybe just come for a cuppa.
What does our Men’s Shed do? Hold a successful market day in time for Mother’s Day each year with delicious home baked goods and a wood raffle, build phascogale boxes for our local Landcare office and sell firewood to the community.
The Men’s Sheds of Lake Grace, West Arthur and Dumbleyung have also joined forces and are asking the community to have their say. Please click here to complete the survey. To assist with this research a ‘Community Cuppa Chat at the Shed’ will be held on Thursday August 17 and all are welcome. From 10.30am til 12noon to talk about Ideas workshop and morning tea and from 12.00pm til 1.30pm drop in for a chat. To RSVP to this particular event please contact the Shire on 9863 4012.
Our Dumbleyung Men’s Shed is one of 985 in Australia but continue to source new members– the door/gate is always open, and men of all ages are welcome! The Dumbleyung Men’s Shed meet every Monday from 9.30am at 31-33 Bartram Road. For more information contact Graham Wilson on 0428 492 635 or Bob Hannah on 0417 183 873.
