Rod Frost received his fifth Bar for 37 years of service and Leanne Frost received her first bar for 20 years of service. Congratulations to both Rod and Leanne- what an achievement.
These awards receive worldwide recognition and are for years of dedicated service by our amazing local volunteers. The Service Medal of the Order of St John is an award given for continuous years of service within St John, and has been awarded since 1899. In most countries, a silver bar is awarded for each five years of service and then replaced by a gilt bar after three silver bars are achieved and then removed.
Local volunteers Shonel Bennett and Tegan Hall also attended the conference with Rod and Leanne, and enjoyed the opportunity of listening to guest speakers and meeting other volunteers from around the state. Dumbleyung St Johns are having a “volunteer drive” at the moment- please contact Shonel Bennett if you are interested in joining your local St John.
