Natalie stumbled across boomerang bags at a market in Perth and with no sewing experience and a bit of research into the boomerang bag initiative, Natalie found she loved the message Boomerang Bags were sharing and thought to start a community in Katanning. Since the boomerang bag inception in Katanning (just over one year ago) Natalie now has over 50 Facebook followers and regular army of volunteers who have made over 520 bags to date.
After a short Q&A, attendees found treasure from someone else’s trash and shopped up a storm with over $300 raised for the CRC – thank you to those who donated and purchased!
Did you miss out? Not to worry the Pop Up Op Shop will remain open until for two months (Friday October 5) or until all items are sold! So be sure to pop in during CRC opening hours for all your homeware needs! Items include platters, glassware, ceramics, DVDs, books, linen, photo frames and so much more!
Interested in Boomerang Bags? Want to start a Dumbleyung ‘Boomerang Bag’ Community? The CRC are gathering interest and are willing to help those interested. Natalie has also left some information and samples at the CRC for all to browse/if you want to know more!
