Dumbleyung Primary School
  • Cross Country is this Thursday, 24th of May and will be combined with an Assembly. The event will kick off at 12pm, followed by a sausage sizzle lunch and Assembly. Any helpers interested in assisting on the day would be greatly appreciated.
  • Welcome back Mrs Laura Bartram who will be teaching science across the whole school.
  • Thank you to Mrs Jane Coad who has volunteered to run Breakfast Club on Wednesday mornings this term, bringing the program to three mornings a week; Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. If your child is feeling hungry in the mornings after the bus run or prefers to eat socially with peers, then please remind them to head down to the art room for some warm porridge or toast. Donations of bread are always keenly appreciated.
  • Rodney Johnson, Regional Hockey Developmental Officer will be running two hockey clinics, Tuesday June 5 and Tuesday June 12 commencing at 1.20pm. All year levels will participate in the clinics. Hockey equipment will be supplied and we ask all wear appropriate footwear.
  • A place on the School Council as a Parent Representative has become vacant. Roles on School Council are to help with school accountability measures, discussing finance, business targets and community promotion of the school. Members are required to attend one meeting a term (usually towards the end of term) for a minimum of three meetings a year.  School Council members do not have any say over staff performance or preference. If you are willing to volunteer your time for this role, please fill out a nomination form (available at the school). Should a number of people nominate, a vote for the position may be held.
  • Dumbleyung Speech, Drama and Art festival will be held on Friday June 8 – please add this date into your diaries.

Kukerin Primary School
  • Thank you to all parents for coming in for our special Mother’s Day afternoon! We hope you enjoyed your craft activities, nail painting and afternoon tea.
  • RAC book, ‘My Family, The Elephant and Me’ are available for each student. The story focuses on the importance of road safety for families living in the Wheatbelt.
  • P&C Raffle tickets – please support the P&C’s only fundraiser for this year, the $100 raffle. Tickets are $100 and prizes are - $2000 (First prize), $1000 (Second prize) and $500 (Third prize).
  • Following Cross Country on Tuesday May 29 at 2.15pm the Senior Room students will be hosting a fundraiser for the ‘Smith Family’. Everyone is invited to attend and enjoy a cuppa and afternoon tea for a gold coin donation.
