Dumbleyung Primary School
  • Scitech will be visiting the school on Tuesday November 21. Participation is $6 per child and the school will pay the difference.
Kukerin Primary School

  • Congratulations to the following Merit Certificate winners Ryan Turner (Kindy), Oliver Hall (kindy), Grace Read (Year 1), Xavier Nenke (Year 2), Lily Hall (Year2), Kael Astbury (Year 3), Connor Gallagher (Year 6) and Thomas Smith (Year 6).
  • Well done to Aussie of the month Alex Davidson. For immersing yourself in all camp activities with maturity and enthusiasm.
  • Snake bite training – thanks to two local ambulance officers, Alex Adams and Kylie Read who visited the school on Wednesday November 1. Year 3-6 students learnt how to apply bandages to a snake bite, a very pertinent skill for this time of year and where we live. The PP -Year 2 students were given a tour of the town’s ambulance and enjoyed seeing it close up. Thanks to Alex and Kylie for giving up their time to come in and share their skills.
  • School Camp – A combined Year 5-6 camp with Nyabing and Pingerup was very successful. It ran smoothly and was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. The student’s behaviour was excellent throughout, and many new friendships were made. Ice skating seemed to be the highlight for most children, despite a few bruises and minor cuts. Students also loved AQUA, the Fremantle Gaol and Scitech. A huge thanks to Mrs Doney for meticulously organising everything, and Mrs Gray for giving up her own time to attend and supervise the students.
  • Presentation night babysitting – The P&C will provide a babysitting service on Presentation night. Parents and families are requested to use this service for all non performing children on the evening. The cost is $10 per family. Please contact Susi Leo on 9864 6029 with your booking.
  • Change to early close and Kindy day week 10 – Kindy students will attend school on Monday December 11 with school finishing at 3.10pm. Tuesday December 12 there will be an early close at 2.30pm to allow students more time before the concert. There will be no Kindy on Tuesday December 12.
