Kukerin Primary School

  • Well done to School Captains, Louis and Miells, for their efforts in helping to drive our Salvation Army Winter Appeal.
  • The Mary Morgan Cross Country was held last week with a number of close finishes on the day adding to the level of excitement in the atmosphere! Race results are,
    •  Kindy to Year 1 – Eva Gooding and Bill Davidson
    • Year 2 to 4 – Katie Gray and Thomas Ditchburn
    • Year 5-6 – Ashleigh Faulkner and Miells Astbury
  • Congratulations to the merit certificate winners Gabriella Fernandes, Lyric Campbell, Ryan Turner, Tamzyn Kirby, Eve Gray and Camille Smith. Well done to Aussie of the month Ashleigh Faulkner!
  • A football clinic was recently hosted by Daniel Cook from the West Australian Football Commission. It was great to see everyone representing our school so well and enjoying participating in a range of skill-building activities.
  • Head lice – please examine your child’s hair regularly for signs of head lice. If your child has head lice please inform the school so we can continue to have a cooperative approach to head lice management.
  • A mobile dental van is planning to visit Lake Grace in mid August (to be confirmed). If your child is pain or would like to be seen early, your more than welcome to make an appointment at the Katanning Clinic which will be open during the school holidays. Phone 9821 1734 for more information.

Dumbleyung Primary School

  • Thank you to all who attended and supported the Cross Country event, it was the biggest attendance we have had for a few years!
  • You may be aware we are planning an overnight excursion to Dryandra for our Year 2-6 students with neighbouring school, Kukerin. The aim of the camp is for students and staff to reflect against the Department of Education’s Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework and participate in NAIDOC celebrations.
  • The much anticipated Dumbleyung Speech, Drama and Art Festival takes place this Friday, June 7 at the Dumbleyung Town Hall. Any assistance from parents on the Wednesday prior (today) would be greatly appreciated.
  • Congratulations merit certificate winners – Braedlee Kirk, Lexi Ward, Shayla Blake, Flynn Bartram, Cleo Ward and Lucas Ball. Well done to Dylan Ball who received the Chaplain’s Award and Bailey Cronin who received Aussie of the Month.
  • Congratulations to the following students who won first place in their division at the 2019 Cross Country held on May 23. Further congratulations to Max Coad who won the Cross Country Shield in 6m 22sec.
