The Dumbleyung Speech, Drama and Art Festival 2017
Students from six schools participated in the Dumbleyung Speech, Drama and Art Festival for 2017. There were six categories that students could take part in over the day and there were also three art categories that were judged prior to the event commencing. The following is a summary of student Winners and Highly Commended from each category.
Spectators and competitors were also asked to vote for their favourite piece of art work and the Popular Choice award went to Tandice Smith—Kukerin Primary School. A final award was given to the Highest Scoring School over the day and the prestigious award this year went to Nyabing Primary School.
The Dumbleyung Speech, Drama and Art Festival Committee would like to sincerely thank our adjudicator, Mrs Michele Brown, for all the hard work she did over the days adjudicating and for also judging the art the previous day. A big thank you must also go to Mrs Helen Gooding and Mrs Jennifer Williams for scribing the adjudicator’s comments and finalising the art the previous day.
Sincere thanks to the parents, staff and teachers from the various schools who helped to prepare the performers for the day, the Dumbleyung P&C for the great morning tea and lunches and the Dumbleyung Shire for all their contributions leading up to the day.
Finally, thanks go to all of our competitors. We look forward to seeing everyone again in 2017
