Dumbleyung Primary School
  • The Dumbleyung Speech, Drama and Art Festival is scheduled for week seven, Friday June 9th. Parents are strongly encouraged to assist their children in completing a collage, painting or sculpture along the theme of ‘emotions’. The art section is open for students in year 3 to 6. It would be wonderful to see lots of support for Dumbleyung Primary School’s showcase event that puts our town and school in the spotlight.

Kukerin Primary School
  • Mary Morgan Cross Country
The  students participated in the Mary Morgan Cross Country on Tuesday 23rd May at Nenke Park. Thank you to all the parents, carers and community members who attended and cheered for our students. Congratulations to all students for competing and striving to do their best. Race Results:

Kindy to Year 1 – Eve Gray and Thomas Ditchburn
Years 2 to 4 – Ashleigh Faulkner and Nat Mycoe
Years 5 & 6 – Olivia Mycoe and Alex Davidson

Merit Certificates went to:
Paige Nenke (Pre Primary) For her fantastic effort during classroom activities. Paige challenges herself during writing sessions and has become an independent worker. She is a great role model to her peers and displays all the characteristics of a ‘Kukerin Kid’. Keep up the great effort, Paige.

Thomas Ditchburn (Pre Primary) For excelling in his ability to have a go during classroom activities. Thomas is a fantastic role model to his class mates during mat sessions and is an active listener. He has transitioned well into Pre Primary and is achieving success every day. You are a fantastic ‘Kukerin Kid’, Thomas.

Angie Sebastian (Year 2) For the wonderful detail given to her recent fractured fairy tale narrative. Angie, your use of rhyme and humour brought your story to life. Well done, can't wait to read your next piece of writing!

Preston Smith (Year 3) For always being prepared for every lesson and encouraging his peers to do the same. Preston, the effort you put into each task is admirable. Keep up the great work, these are wonderful skills to have.

Miells Astbury (Year 4) For your persistence and perseverance during lessons. It is pleasing to see you always putting in your very best effort when completing tasks. I am especially proud of how you are immersing yourself during the guided reading, reading sessions. Awesome work, Miells.

Aiden Dowdell (Year 6) For being a responsible learner in the classroom. Aiden, I am so impressed with your ability to extend yourself in all learning areas; especially in your writing where you are using a greater vocabulary to enhance your sentences. You are achieving great results. Keep up the fantastic work.

AUSSIE OF THE MONTH
 - Tandice Smith is diligent in her approach to all learning tasks and is showing confidence as a leader    inside and outside the classroom. Congratulations on your achievement.
