Kukerin Primary School

​Coding in the Classroom

• This semester Daniel Moore will be taking the students for Technologies, with a specific emphasis on the Digital Technologies curriculum. Students across all year levels will learn basic coding skills and language through a variety of engaging, hands-on tasks that I have planned. It is pleasing to see that the school is quite well-resourced in regards to technology and this will certainly assist us with what we are trying to achieve.

Dryandra Camp

• During the last week of term 2, the senior students had an overnight camp at Dryandra. The purpose of this camp was to learn more about indigenous culture and our native wildlife.  The students were supported in building relationships with their peers who also attended from Dumbleyung Primary School. The students from both schools learnt more about flora and fauna with the support from local Landcare Officer, Claudia Hadlow. Overall it was a highly entertaining and enlightening experience.

Congratulations to Taj Mott who was awarded the ‘Aussie of the Month’.

Change to kindy day week 9 - Kindy students will attend school on Monday, 16th September instead of Friday, 20th September due to the athletics carnival.
Uniform order – If you require any new uniforms can you please let Deb Doney know by Friday 2nd of August as an order will be place on Monday 5th of August.
