We hope your enjoying your term 3 school holidays. Please see school notes from the last newsletters released last week.
Kukerin Primary School
  • Congratulations to all students for their excellent behaviour and sportsmanship at the athletics carnival in Pingrup. Kukerin finished third overall and the effort, participation and support of one another was first class. Awards included Champions Claire Faulkner (Year 6 girls), Katie Gray (Year 2/3 girls), Eve Gray (Year PP/1 girls) and runner-up champions Hayden Leo (Year 4/5 boys), Ashleigh Faulkner (Year 4/5 girls), Tamzyn Kirby (Year 2/3 girls) and Thomas Ditchburn (Year PP/1 boys).
  • A huge thank you to the P&C for their hard work in building our new nature playground. Further thank you to Mrs Faulkner for designing the play area and driving this initiative at our school.
  • Well done to the following merit certificate winners – Eva Gooding, Oliver Hall, Eve Gray, Thomas Ditchburn, Theo Ayers-Dillon, Preston Smith and Claire Faulkner. Congratulations to Aussie of the month, Miells Astbury.

Dumbleyung Primary School
  • Congratulations to Kersley on winning the Athletics Faction Sports Carnival. Thank you to all volunteers who assisted, your help is greatly appreciated. A huge thank you to Beth Bartram who volunteered and coached students during sport on Monday’s at Stubbs Park, your commitment to seeing our students achieve their personal best is appreciated.
  • We congratulate Kylie Read who has completed her practical hours required to fulfil her educational assistant certificate. Kylie has been in our Junior Room and we wish her all the best for her future endeavours.
  • Next term sees the ‘No hat no play’ rule again. Please ensure your child brings a hat or if you don’t have one/it is lost, you can purchase a new dark green bucket hat from the uniform shop for $10.
  • Well done to all involved at the Small Schools Athletics Association Carnival held in Yealering on September 14. Dumbleyung finished 2nd overall. Further congratulations to the following students who received awards Boys kindergarten runner-up Bailey Cronin, Girls Year 3 champion Jasmin Cronin, Boys Year 3 champion Flynn Bartram, Boys Year 4 champion Max Coad, Boys Year 4 runner-up Eden Bairstow and Girls Year 5 runner-up Hannah Cronin.
