This project came about following the outstanding success of ‘Marking the Unmarked Graves’ project and the associated crowd funding. The aluminium seats were purchased from funds leftover from this worthwhile and important venture and the residue went to the Dumbleyung Men’s Shed to install the seats which are sure to be popular and greatly appreciated by the community.
With a great team of supervisors, who also doubled as workers, the project went off magnificently. The team being Bob Hannah, Bob Bray, Ray Richards, Ray Gunnell, Murray Hudson, Grant Cronin, Graham Wilson, Darrel Gaull and Kay Lee. With members using the freshly laid seats as supports, the level had a good workout. The existing wooden seat needed some TLC (tender loving care) and that was also fixed.
Thanks to Ray Richards for the generator and cement mixer and thanks to Murray Hudson for taking his work ute. Generally thanks to everyone for their help – great work by all!
If you are interested in visiting the Men’s Shed, pop in any time from 9.30am to lunch time each Monday or get in touch with Bob Hannah, mobile 0428 081 812 or Graham Wilson, mobile 0428 492 635.
