TRAFFIC DIVERSION BYPASS FROM 1st – 18th April 2019 (See Map)
Road works will be carried out on the corner of Bennett St and Bahr Road in Dumbleyung from the 1st to the 18th April 2019. A bypass road and temporary footpath delineated by orange netting will be installed to ensure pedestrians and traffic can continue to flow through the area. Traffic will be controlled with the assistance of traffic lights.
These works are critical in this year’s maintenance and construction program and need to be finalised prior to the changing season. These traffic control measures have been implemented as we realise the timing of these works coincide with the Taste of Dumbleyung. We have notified the CMCA Rally who will be staying at Stubbs Park of the arrangement and appreciate your patience during this time.
We realise this may be an inconvenience however for us to complete the task efficiently and safely we ask that you please assist us with the below:
- Do not walk through closed work areas as works require the bitumen to be at high temperatures.
- Be mindful of heavy machinery operating in the area.
- Please adhere to traffic light signals when driving through the area
If you have any questions, please contact the Shire of Dumbleyung on 9863 4012.
We thank you for your cooperation.

RELIEF EDUCATOR - Dumbleyung Family Day Care
The Dumbleyung Day Care is now running four days per week and with the demand for Day Care during school holidays we are seeking a “Relief Educator” to assist Leonie and Kaylene when they are not available or are taking a break. This person would operate out of the Dumbleyung Family Day Care in conjunction with our existing "Educators" as their own business.
1. This role would best suit someone with a Certificate III in Children’s Services or a teacher who is finding it difficult to complete their minimum hours for the year.
2. The role could also be of interest to someone who doesn’t have a lot of knowledge about children but are happy to enrol in their Certificate III Children’s Services and are of a caring and nurturing nature to provide quality education and care for the children in our community.
The shire will guide the interested person in transitioning into this ready to go business. "The Educator" can care for children from birth to 12 years of age with the ratio’s of 4 children under four, and 3 school aged children, 7 children in total.
To express your interest or for more information on the training and certificates please contact Nicole on (08) 9863 4012 orntaylor@dumbleyung.wa.gov.au.
Great Beginnings will provide "the educator" all Policies and Procedures, service forms for medication, enrolment of children etc, National Quality Framework resources for programming, Toys from the Toy Library, processing for Government rebates, parents benefits, provide training with programming and source external trainings when it is available.
