REMINDER THIS WEEKEND Kerbside Collection
Shire of Dumbleyung Kerbside Collection will take place Monday 18th September 2017 in the Dumbleyung, Kukerin and Moulyinning town sites.
Please refrain from putting out items before Saturday 16th September 2017.
The Shire of Dumbleyung offer two kerbside collections per year. If you are not ready for this one keep an eye out for the next one which will be advertised next year. Thank you for your co-operation.

ANNUAL VACANT BLOCK MAINTENANCE
Some residents get the shire to mow their vacant resident blocks before the 1st November. In the latest fees and charges, a new fee was introduced whereby the shire will keep your vacant residential block tidy for the entire year for $253, around the same it would cost for a one off tidy. If you would like to take up this offer, in time for this year’s fire season, please get in touch with the shire before 1st October 2017.

Could this be your NEW business?  Dumbleyung Family Day Care
We are seeking expressions of interest for a person to operate Dumbleyung Family Day Care as their own business. The person doesn’t have to have a lot of knowledge about children but they do need to be of a caring and nurturing nature who is also willing to provide quality education and care for the children in our community. The shire will guide the interested person in transitioning into this ready to go business.
This person "the educator" can care for children from birth to 12 years of age with the ratio’s of 4 children under four, and 3 school aged children, 7 children in total. Opening hours and days can be flexible, however current opening hours are three days per week for 8 hours per day.

Restricted Burning Season
Please remember that the restricted burning season commences on the 19th September 2017. During the restricted burning season you will require a permit to burn.

Robert & Daphne McIntyre Citizenship Award
Applications open 25th August 2017

The Robert and Daphne Citizenship Award is a $2750 donation towards education expenses open to any student from years 10 to 12 whose primary place of residence is in the Shire of Dumbleyung or the parents/guardians are ratepayers in the Shire of Dumbleyung.
Applications close on 22nd September 2017.  To be eligible, all applications MUST address the selection criteria. To obtain a copy of the Award application please contact the Shire of Dumbleyung on 98634012 or emaileedwards@dumbleyung.wa.gov.au.
