Kukerin Dumbleyung Football Club

On Sunday July 17th, A-Grade narrowly lost to a strong Wickepin side at Stubbs Park with a final score 8.12-60 to 15.8-98. Well done to the goal kickers R. Dalton (2), L. Joy, G. Bolt, K. Patterson, B. Lim, M. Longbottom and N. Ditchburn.  A great game by all and congratulations to best on ground: R. Dalton, J. Clayton, C. Doney, M. Longbottom, P. Joyce and J. Doney.

B-Grade had a hard day out with a 1.10-16 to 9.8-62 loss.  Well done to G. Ball who scored the only goal for the Cougars. Best players went to A. Gray, G. Ball, K. West, T. Smith and D. Head.

D-Grade had a very close game with the end result being Wickepin 5.4-34 to Dumbleyung 4.5-29. Well done boys!

The Gymnastics Club catered on the day and held a wonderfully inventive fundraiser which was supported very well by attendees who loved smashing plates for a small fee.

The teams travelled to and played Narembeen on Saturday July 16th. Well done to A-grade who won 3-0, with goals by Ellie & Tahryn and awards to Michelle CR & Tahryn. It was a close and unfortunate loss for B-grade who went down 3-4. B-grade goals were by Fletcher and awards to Nat & Fletch.
C-grade unfortunately lost to Narembeen with a final score of 0-9 with awards to Liv.
This weekend (Saturday July 23) the club will play Corrigin in Corrigin.

Dumbleyung Mens Hockey Club

There was a bye last weekend with many of the club attending the nuptials of fellow player Michael Atkins to his beautiful (now) wife Clare Atkins. It is back to the field for the boys this week with the game on Saturday July 23rd against Pingelly in Narrogin at 2.40pm.

Lakeview Golf Club

It was a 4 seasons in 1 day on Saturday with golfers vying for the Katanning Brake Clutch & Ag Repairs trophies; a few of the best to warm the cockles of your heart were on offer.  It was great to see Steve and Julie Hawkins for their day, though they were not affected by the weather, travelling in style in their cart along with the other cart golfers Bob and Eric. Men’s winner was Eric Gossage 37points with Bob Hannah runner-up 33, Gross Steve Hawkins.  Ladies winner Davina Gossage 31pts and T Bartram 31.  Novelties; Davina once again taking 2, Bob, Eric and Tamara 1.  Next week will be a Stroke Qualifying round sponsored by Wishbone Transport - Ray and Julie Justins. MM BBQ so please bring a salad or sweet to share.  This is the 2nd last stroke qualifying round so if you are thinking of playing in the championships you have only next week and the 19 August to qualify.
