We played one short due to Willow being crook and FIFO being away. This did not stop our team putting up a pretty good fight, to lose 6/5. With one short, one game is an automatic loss and the doubles and triples are up against it. Even up against it, Block took out the doubles game he played in. One against two is hard work.
Well done Captain. Scores were Block 46.25 2 pegs, R/House Ricky 40.96 1 peg, Ducky 37.78, Tanya 37.22, BJ 36.0 2 pegs. Block also had a score of133 in his triples game.
We play our last game of the season next week against Darkan Blue in Wagin. Then we start the finals the following week.

Thank you to all who had the course in immaculate condition, to Margie and her crew for the catering and Eric and Davina Gossage who are swanning around Europe, for all their help to make the day a success, before they left. The course clean up prior to the event was led by Captain Jamie Dare and his powerful crew.
Winners on the Day
Nett: Graeme Jose and Stephen Roberts with 72 points on a count back from runners-up Daniel McDougall and Glenn Ball 72; 3rd Nett Ricky Mott and Scott Ball on 71; 4 Nett Lee Smith and John Davidson on 70 on a count back from Bob Hannah and Graham Ball.
Gross Winners were the runaway Wagin pair who have continually attended our event over many, many years of Ken Adams and Gerard Hegarty with 53 points. Runners-up Matty Dare and Elliot Taylor on 48 points.
NAGA was the Darkan pairing of James Scanlon and Tim Buller on 5 points, but they did enjoy the course, especially the front nine which was very spectacular with the views.
The night competition of using 1 ball and having to hit with Frank Gaudin's wood off No 1 Tee was the evening highlight. This $50 winner take all event was sponsored by Dongolocking Plumbing & Gas. Using the ute lights, the competition hotted up. The only woman hit the first ball and landed on the green putting pressure on the rest of the 22 men. Can't let a women beat them, so of course Mr Eagle Man himself, Lee Smith, hit the winning shot. Irrelevant really who came second, but it could have been one of the Captains!!!
