Smarter than Smoking WA Hockey Club Championships
The first three days saw our J 9/10 girls compete in B grade. Monday June 26 the team won against Wasps and Esperance and unfortunately had a narrow loss to Busselton. The following day they drew with AW Reds and lost to YMCC. This placed them fourth in the pool before playing Wasps again and winning, two goals vs. one goal.
Wednesday June 28, they played the Vic Park Panthers, their best game of the week winning two goals to nil and finishing 5th overall. The girls have learnt many new hockey skills and enjoyed the week. A big thankyou to coach Carmen Bairstow, manager/cook Sharon Ward, bus driver Peter Erickson and umpire David Phillips. A good effort by all.
