Dumbleyung Bowling Club

We played Kojonup Green
We must be bl... dy mad playing bowls on Saturday. HOT HOT HOT! Nothing like a glass of water. M. Roberts put some misty sprinklers up on the south to cool us off – thank you.

Dumbleyung won all three rinks.  C. Henry, G. Bateup, B. Hannah and R. Hall won the money.  First for the year.

S. Hughes, P. Payne, P. Crispin and G. Cronin – P. Payne played Leader for the first time and had an awesome day out.  It is his position for the year - Congratulations Peter!

G. Jose, P. Bedford, R. Temby and M. Roberts – First third for the year. Disappointed. Always next week Josey.

The beers after the game were delicious. Thanks to the ladies for the sandwiches, and the bar staff.

Kukerin Bowling Club

The pennant match between Kukerin and Newdegate last Saturday, November 16 and commenced an hour later than normal by agreement between the two clubs owing to the extreme heat forecast on the day.  Newdegate bounced out of the blocks on all four rinks early in the contest to lead by a handy margin.  As the game progressed two Kukerin rinks gradually closed ranks while the other two were still in a bit of trouble. Nearing the completion of the game two Kukerin rinks had taken control while one of the other two had gained a slender lead and the fourth was gaining ground, however at the conclusion of the game two Kukerin rinks had won while the other two lost narrowly which gave Kukerin a narrow aggregate win and a 6—2 winning score.

Best wishes to Beverley Davidson and Debbie Smith who will be Kukerin’s representatives in the South Central Arunga Ladies team at the I.L.R.R ladies pairs carnival to be played at Brookton next weekend. Claudia Faulkner will also travel as manager.

There will be social bowls next Sunday from 3.00 pm for anyone who is available. With harvest coming to a close maybe we will see a few more on the green for a game.
