Kukerin Dumbleyung D graders had another home game in Kukerin on Saturday. With a few year seven boys home for the long weekend numbers were good once again. Captain for the day was Blair Ball.
In a tight first quarter both teams played some great footy and we found ourselves trailing at quarter time by five points. With the aid of a slight breeze in the second quarter we had a lot of the play in our forward fifty and managed to pepper the goal front but only managed to score one goal and four points. This was enough however to see us lead by four points at half time. The third quarter was another tight tussle with both sides scoring a couple of goals each but we still had our noses in front going into final term. The team could sense their second victory in a row and worked hard in the last quarter to run out winners by four goals.
A great effort by the whole group who have been putting in a fantastic effort every week.
Award winners- Jonty Robinson, Preston Smith and Max Coad (pictured above left).
Thanks to Rick and Vick for the awards each week.

The conditions were obviously perfect for some with Graham Poppy Ball showing how it's done, coming in with a fantastic plus 8. Soon to be father of four Ricky Mott decided to show his form arriving in later with a staggering plus 11 to steal the prize!
Step in captain Lee Smith couldn't quite match the form, coming in as NAGA whilst Eric Gossage snuck across the line to claim Gross.
The ladies were ecstatic to field a plus winner, although Davina Gossage's plus 4 paled in significance to the men's scores. Runner up was the ever fit Liz Dare with 2 down.
Sharlene Powell may have been too focused on Greece being the word but scored a wonderful umbrella for her NAGA effort.
Thank you to Roisin and Marc Ball representing Kukerin Rural Services, for attending and presenting the ever popular meat pack prizes and many novelties. The club truly is fortunate to have such exceptional sponsorship.
Next week hopefully sees wet conditions with a Stableford sponsored by Wagin Panel and Paint scheduled. Subs and buggy room payment are now overdue so please pay this week if you haven't already.
Good luck to the men who will represent the club at the Great Southern Fourball in Pingelly.
