Kukerin Dumbleyung Football Club
The Cougars had a change of pace at a football training last week when local Megan Henry put the men through their paces with a fast and high intensity ‘cardio tennis’ session. Thanks to Tamara Bartram for sharing the photos.

Kukerin Bowling Club
Kukerin hosted Kulin for the final pennant game of the home and away season last Saturday. The game began under grey leaden skies in intermittent light rain showers. Two rinks from each team gained control early in what looked likely to be a very close finish, however at the halfway period of the contest the rain came in and the match was abandoned resulting in each team gaining four points. The final points on pennant table at the conclusion of season reads; Kukerin 63, Kondinin 54.5, Kulin 38.5, Newdegate 36, Karlgarin 28, Lake Grace 20. The first and second semi-finals will be played at Newdegate and Kukerin on Saturday March 7.
The South Central Arunga Bowling League singles championships for men and ladies were played at Kulin on Sunday. Kukerin’s representatives were Bev Davidson and Ross Ditchburn. Whilst Bev played well she didn’t advance to the final, however Ross won his section and lost the final in a high class game to Lake Grace’s Geoff Sabourne.
We wish our two teams travelling to the annual country week championships in Perth next week-end good bowling. Social bowls next week-end will be organised by phone for those at home
