Sunday May 15 the Kukerin Dumbleyung Cougars travelled to Wickepin. Unfortunately,  D-Grade lost with a final score of 5.7-37 to 1.3-9. Thanks to Dumbleyung Roadhouse for supporting D-Grade and providing best players Sam and Blair with a Mars Bar for their efforts on the ground (pictured right).

B-Grade lost with a great margin between themselves and Wickepin at the final siren, with a final score of 22.15-147 to 1.3-9. Best players for the match went to A.Gray, C.Davidson, J.Nenke, H.Dale, C.Doney and T.Smith.

It was a close game for A-Grade with only two points in it at the final siren. Leading at three quarter time the Cougars played extremely well but narrowly lost with a final score of 1.13-79 to 11.11-77. Best players for A-Grade went to J.Ward who kicked seven goals! R.Gooding, G.Bolt, H.Murray, B.Lim and J.Doney.

Dumbleyung Netball Club

Dumbleyung versus Fusion

It was another great game of netball for the Ducks, although the end result did not go our way.  Every week our game is improving and ultimately adding more onto the scorecard.  This week saw a few new position changes for the team with a new face at the goal-shooting end.  Amanda Gilfellon made her début as goal shooter for a quarter with goal shooting stalwart Katrina Gray.

Fusion are a new team to the Katanning Netball Association competition, although there were a few familiar faces.  They were young, quick and dynamic and our Ducks stood up to the challenge.  The mirror formation and holding our leads are being perfected and helping us to convert overturned play into goals.

The final score for the day was 18 – 65 in favour of Fusion.  Thank you to our supporters who cheered us on to Katrina Gray for staying in Katanning to fulfil our umpiring duty.  This week we have a bye.  Our next game will be Round 5 Saturday 28th May against Allstars 1 at 2.30pm on Court 4.

A grade 2-2. Both goals from Anna

Dumbleyung Mens Hockey Club

Dumbleyung Mens had a convincing win of 5-1 today in Narrogin against Olympics. The men played a fantastic game and kept the momentum going the entire game with the help of five subs on the sideline. Goalscorers were Courtney Bairstow (3), Scott Angwin and Marshall Henry. There is a bye next weekend due to the international games being held in Narrogin.
