Kukerin Bowling Club
There will be social bowls next Sunday and players are to please have names in by 1.30 pm. A good attendance is hoped for because the pennant competition commences the following Saturday 13th of October.

Dumbleyung Tennis Club
Tennis is back! Dust off the gear and come along.
Our wonderful lawn courts need marking on Thursday the 4th October at 3pm. Many hands make light work, please come along and lend a hand. Thank you to Dave Wall for keeping the courts looking fabulous over the off season, we appreciate you.
OPEN DAY – SOCIAL TENNIS
We open for the season on Saturday the 6th October from 3pm. Please bring along a plate of nibblies to share, burgers available for dinner. No experience necessary, all welcome. Only one week to warm up before our fundraiser for Solariscare.
FUNDRAISER FOR SOLARISCARE
Friday October the 12th at 5:30pm. Teams of four, individuals can nominate. A great fun night of social tennis, no experience necessary.
This time every year we like to support Solariscare and raise money for them as Louisa Dare’s chosen Cancer charity from her battle with cancer a few years ago. We started this night to show support for Louisa and we have continued it on. Sportspower are our main sponsor for this night but unfortunately they can’t make it this year.
FRIDAY NIGHT SOCIAL
Friday night social is on every Friday night from the 26th October. The late start for Friday social tennis is due to other events scheduled locally.
First weekend pennants are in Newdegate on Sunday the 14th October at 1pm. The captain will look into taking the bus. The next weekend fixture is at home against Dudinin on the 21st October. Ladies midweek fixtures should be available this week.
Saturday 27th October at 1pm. Always a well contested day of tennis. No need to be a member, just put your name in the draw and we will get you a partner. BBQ tea to follow. Sponsored by the GODI and Dumbleyung Farmer’s Centre.

Dumbleyung Tennis Club Special General Meeting
The Dumbleyung Tennis Club will hold a short Special General Meeting to make final changes to the updated Constitution on Sunday the 21st of October at 12:30pm at Stubbs Park Pavilion (Prior to pennants).
The updates to the constitution are:
5.2.4 Provided with a copy of the Associations rules
- Election of Members
5.6 Subscription / Fees
A defined annual, half yearly or quarterly subscription shall be payable in advance, set by the Committee.
7.2 A quorum of the Management Committee shall be a minimum of 5.
7.4 Members are elected to the Management Committee at an Annual General Meeting. A member is to be nominated by a registered member, seconded by a registered member who is not the nominator and either accepted or declined by the nominee.
- The Secretary is responsible for
- Coordinating the correspondence of the Club
- Keeping full and correct minutes of the proceedings of the committee and the Club
- Maintaining an up to date version of the Club Constitution
- Maintaining a record of all members
- The records and documents must be readily available inspection by any member of the Club at the earliest convenience.
10.2 General meetings may be called at the request of the Secretary and with the approval of the President, or at the written request of 20% of the members of the Club. General meetings will occur as and when needed.
- The quorum at the General Meeting shall be a minimum of 20% of registered members.
12.6 The financial year of the Club shall commence on April 1st each year. The accounts, books and all financial records of the Club shall be reviewed by an independent person form the Club each year and a full inspection completed every three years.
12.9 Financial remuneration from the association’s funds can only occur to a member of the committee if the payment is authorised by a resolution of the association.
14.1 The register shall include the name and either the residential, postal or email address of each member.
