The workshop covered what must be included in each document, how to create/access such documents, answered myths about what happens to your estate if you don’t have a will, and applied the importance of having a Will to every day scenarios.
Vanessa, a Paralegal, and Denise, a Disability Advocate, were a wealth of knowledge and came from a great team who can assist in a variety of areas of law including family law, tenancy, future planning (will’s, probates etc.) and contracts. Albany Community Legal Centre can provide assistance for free to people who live in the Great Southern and ongoing assistance is on a need-assessed basis.
We hope to see more of Vanessa, Denise and the ACLC team in the New Year so if you missed out, don’t worry – they’ll be back with enough interest! If you can’t wait until the New Year and have a burning question, feel free to pop into their office in Albany (open Monday – Thursday) or give them a call as they do visit Katanning monthly to assist with one-on-one cases.
If you couldn’t attend but would love to be at the next session please let us know so we can start creating an Expression of Interest list and/or share with us others areas of law that you might like ACLC to discuss.
