The kids were well entertained by the CRC bouncy castle and went around and round and round on the good old Community Merry Go Round - a favourite amongst young and old. Krissy Papprill provided face painting for the kids with Christmas baubles and Christmas trees being the pick of the paintings.
Meat was supplied and everyone bought along a plate to share and in true country town style, the food was absolutely delicious.
Santa showed up just before 7pm with presents and lollies for the kids and was a crowd favourite as he heard the many wishes of all the children.
Thank you to all the donations from local businesses, to Krissy for providing face painting, community members for attending, Santa for visiting from the North Pole (though nearly melting), the Dumbleyung Men’s Shed for the donation of use of tables and chairs and anyone who helped in any small way.
Most of all, a big thankyou and congratulations must go to the active members of the Dumbleyung Volunteer Fire and Rescue for hosting such a successful event for the families of Dumbleyung. Your hours of work did not go unnoticed.
Merry Christmas everyone!
