On Wednesday March 4 we’re excited to welcome Holly-ann Martin as our 2020 International Women’s Day Morning Tea guest speaker. A 2016 WA Women’s Hall of Fame Inductee and the Managing Director of Safe4Kids. Holly-ann has had an amazing journey to date including the successful Perth based organisation Safe4Kids, who’s aim is to educate and promote protective behaviours and body safety to children (inside and outside of the classroom) as well as providing child abuse prevention education. A fellow early years and adolescence expert, Maggie Dent commented, ‘She (Holly-ann) is a passionate advocate for our children and her resources are excellent. Keep up the fabulous work special lady – I respect and admire you so much.’
Take this opportunity to hear from an informative and interesting guest speaker, to enjoy a delicious morning tea and barista coffee from along came Henry Café and to catch-up with ladies from across the Shire (message the girls and make a morning of it!). The event will take place within the Dumbleyung CRC from 10.30am til 12noon and is $20 per person (including your delicious morning tea).
International Women’s Day is annually recognised and is celebrated throughout the world! Communities are encouraged to get on board and spread the word each and every year (if possible) with the first International Women’s Day taking place in 1911 when more than a million people attended rallies in Europe. In 1975 the UN adopted International Women’s Day on March 8 and consequently it is recognised each year.
Registration is essential and minimum numbers needed for this event to proceed. Register today (and before Thursday February 27) by calling 9863 4829 or email email@example.com.
A crèche may be organised if there is enough interest – please let us know at time of booking.
