Starting NOW, we will accept any car, boat or truck/tractor batteries. These can be dropped off to Paul Nenke at Cambinata Yabbies anytime – if you have a lot, we can come to you! All parents involved in the club can collect the batteries or please deliver to us. As this is a major fundraiser, we need all members to get on board and help raise money for the club. Please note this is REPLACING our usual football catering fundraiser – instead of a roster or making afternoon teas. Please get behind this plan, as we need all hands on deck to make this a success! Thanks heaps, Amanda Nenke – President Public tender notification 20m x 9m Dome The Dumbleyung Events Committee (DEC) is calling for tenders/expressions of interest in the DEC ‘dome’. Dumbleyung Toy Library
Toy Library concept is viewed as an important community service which needs a simpler administration process to keep it relevant and attractive for people to continue to utilise it.
The Executive committee discussed a number of options of how the Toy Library could operate once unincorporated:
Option 1: Dumbleyung Toy Library structure to remain the same but as an Unincorporated organisation. Continue to have a membership group with office bearers (President, Secretary/Treasurer), operating with the same bank account and toys to be located over two premises (Dumbleyung and Kukerin). Office bearing positions could alternate between each community or be combined.
Option 2: Dumbleyung Toy Library structure to operate under the guise of another organisation. Assets (toys and bank account) to be split across each community and gifted to an organisation that suits each community’s ability to continue to loan toys (ie. To the Dumbleyung and Kukerin Playgroups). The Toy Library Bank Account to be closed and any remaining funds after all/any debts are paid to be evenly split and gifted to the preferred organisations.
Option 3: The Dumbleyung Toy Library to dissolve completely. All assets to be gifted to a preferred organisation, charity or sold. The Toy Library Bank Account to be closed and any remaining funds after all/any debts are paid to be evenly split and gifted to a preferred organisation or charity.
The Executive determined the following resolutions:
- That the Dumbleyung Toy Library to voluntarily cancel its incorporation.
- That the Dumbleyung Toy Library members support the notion of Option 2: Dumbleyung Toy Library structure to operate under the guise of another organisation to ensure the continuation of this service to the Kukerin and Dumbleyung communities.
