EOI – Effective Meetings for Community Groups
Learn how to run effective meetings for your community group at an interactive video conference with a professional from WA Council of Social Services (WACOSS). You can ask questions and understand what should/shouldn’t be moved, motioned and/or carried. It sounds simple but each person and club may have a different method, let’s all get on the same page. FREE to attend and will be held in May at the CRC. Please contact the CRC on 9863 4829 or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested.

ANZAC Day Thankyou’s
On behalf of the community, I would like to thank Beth Bartram, our local historian, for the extremely interesting ANZAC story regarding two locals – Jim Bodkin of Merilup and Major Alan Love of Nairibin. Thankyou Beth!
A massive thankyou also to Stephen and Justine Hughes for organising the wonderful ANZAC service that we have all grown to love and expect. Gough, your ANZAC address is also extremely interesting and certainly brings home the sacrifice made by our locals. The light luncheon and afters at the District Club is enjoyed by all. Lest We Forget.

Happy belated birthday to Rachael Bairstow for April 30 – we hope you had a lovely day. Best wishes to Paul Wheeler (Wheels) who celebrates his birthday on May 3rd.
Community Feedback about Wind Wheels
The Dumbleyung Townscape & Tourism Committee is looking for feedback on the Wind Wheels currently situated on Bahrs Road between Stubbs Park and the GODI. They were placed here temporarily over the ‘Taste of Dumbleyung’ weekend and now the committee are considering the possibility of a permanent set up but want to know what the community thinks. Feedback can be sent to the Chair Cr Amy Knight firstname.lastname@example.org or PO Box 45 Dumbleyung to be presented at the next committee meeting.
Feedback due by May 19.
Dumbleyung Community Garden
The Dumbleyung Community Garden will be harvesting yacons at 10am on Tuesday 7th May. Once they have been dug they are best left for 2 days in the sun to sweeten up so we will be having a taste test on Thursday 9th May at 10am. Depending on the amount of rhizomes, there could well be some for sale. If you are interested please ring Gwen Lathwell on 9863 4236.
