You can ask questions and understand what should/shouldn’t be moved, motioned and/or carried. It sounds simple but each person and club may have a different method, let’s all get on the same page. Easter Services The Stations of the Cross Good Friday service will be held at Nolan’s farm, Tarin Rock at 9am. The Easter Sunday service will be held at St Augustine's at 11.30am. The Reverend Karen Cave will be travelling from Mandurah to take the service. All Welcome. Kukerin Catholic Church, Easter Sunday Service at 6pm with Father Abraham. All welcome. Anzac Day The Anzac Day service will start at 11.30am at the Dumbleyung War Memorial. Veterans and people wishing to march are to form up outside the CRC (old post office) at 11.20am. April 15- Tamara Bartram April 20- Tanya Kirk April 21- Ricky Mott, Matt Gilfellon and Nicky Strahan Well Done Robbie Atkins Recently Robbie Atkins sister (who lives in Pinjarra) ran a fundraising auction to raise funds for Ovarian Cancer Research. Robbie assisted, in his own time and expense, with Barbara taking his truck with farm produce and goods to Pinjarra. Robbie was also supported with donations from generous local businesses namely Wishbone Transport, Dumbleyung Engineering, Dumbleyung General Store, Dumbleyung Tavern (GODI) and Dumbleyung Ag Supplies. The pleasing results from this effort helped raise over $30,000.00. Article by Bob Bray Restoration of Bain’s estate Valiant Charger Darryl and Cherelle Hardman from Desert Sweet in Carnarvon purchased the Bain brothers Valiant Charger from the Bain’s estate clearing sale. They recently sent through the photo of the car as it looks now while being restored (pictured below). Community Garden The Easter Raffle made $223; thank you to everybody involved. The winners are Karen Ward, M.Coad and Lyn Wilson – congratulations. We will be harvesting yacons in late autumn so keep watch for a date and time and come along for a taste test. If you haven’t tasted them before they are very tasty, juicy and crunchy. For more details, and to learn more about the health benefits yacons may have, google ‘yacon’. Workers to the Community Garden would appreciate anyone in the community dropping by on Thursday mornings for conversations or to assist in the weekly working bee from 9am. There is a job for all abilities from sitting and writing, digging, watering, and raking, to constructive advice. Be proud of your town by assisting when possible.
