Winter sports are nearly all wound up!

Over 100+ players, partners, life members, spectators and community members made their way to the Kukerin Town Hall on Friday September 6th to celebrate the end of another successful winter sports season! The evening celebrated the achievements of the team and individual players of the Kukerin Dumbleyung Football Club and Lake Grace Kukerin Hockey Club.

Doors opened at 6pm with everyone taking their seats to a delicious three course meal and vote count. The party didn’t end after the formalities had concluded with many partying on into the night to the sweet tunes of local Lake Grace band, Bale Out!

A great night was had by all with a special congratulations to the following award winners!

A Grade Fairest & Best – Jarrod Doney
A Grade Runner Up – Byron Blevin
A Grade Most Improved – Byron Blevin
A Grade Best Team Man – Ryan Smith
A Grade Lead Goal Kicker – Kim Gooding
B Grade Fairest & Best – Craig Doney
B grade Runner Up – Chad Davidson
B Grade Most improved – Nicholas Bracknell
B Grade Best Team Man – Karl West
B Grade Leading Goal Kicker – (tied) Nathan Ditchburn and Jon Ward

A special mention was made of Jarrod Doney, Pete Joyce, Damon Joyce, Byron Blevin and Ryan Smith who represented the club in the winning A Grade Country Week team on behalf of the Upper Great Southern Football League, along with a number of support staff that assisted. Plus! An awesome achievement for our local Cougar, Jarrod Doney who was then also selected for the West Australian Country Side, playing South Australia at Optus Stadium.
