Pictured above (L-R):J.Faulkner, Wuddi Cultiral Tours owners A.Riley and G.Riley, N.Mycoe and Principal D.Simpson On Friday the 19th of August, Wuddi Cultural Centre and Tours visited Kukerin Primary School to pass on aspects of Noongar culture. Students built a mia mia, ground seeds, threw boomerangs and created rope from box reeds. Mr and Mrs Riley and Mr and Mrs Thorn also spoke about cultural traditions, demonstrated tools and taught the students about the daily life of the Noongar people before European settlement. The day was extremely engaging for students and they asked very insightful questions. It was also great to see them participating in hands on activities while learning more about Noongar culture and their local environment.
